We are proud to announce a musical theatre workshop will take place here in Basel! Our guest, who hails originally from Atlanta, Georgia by way of Seattle, Washington, USA will provide us with a half-day workshop centered around musical theatre songs, technique, and scenes.This workshop is open to all ages.
About Candice:

Broadway veteran, Candice Donehoo, has been moving audiences for decades. From her start in pageants and theme parks in her home state of Georgia, she went on to compete and win pageant titles where her talent and poise were front and center. She later went on to perform in two Broadway shows - Tony Award-winning production ofThe King & I and Jekyll & Hyde . She is a sought after actor/singer across the United States and now Europe. 

She is a proud member of the Actors Equity Association, National Association of Teachers of Singing, Pan American Vocalists Association, and Musical Theatre Educators Alliance. 

Some of her performance credits include:The King & I (Broadway 1st National US Tour), Jekyll and Hyde (Broadway 1st National US Tour), Miss Saigon (US Regional Tour), Sweeney Todd, The Sound of Music, A Christmas Story, Carousel, Grease, The Secret Garden, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Sister Act, Beauty and The Beast, Mamma Mia, and White Christmas. Her true passion is for new works and has been a part of 20 (+) R&D’s, pre-Broadway workshops, and labs.

Candice can be heard on the original cast recording of Tony Award nominated musical A Christmas Story as the soprano in the Radio Quartet written by Pasek and Paul.

Candice has been a faculty member at Cornish College of the Arts and has been a respected international pedagogue and musical theatre expert.

What to expect:

Come prepared with your favorite musical theatre pieces and get expert coaching from Candice. If you have a duet that you'd like to showcase with a friend, bring that along and Candice will work with the both of you.

All participants will fill out a form detailing songs, roles, and musical theatre repertoire they would like to work on. We will take that into consideration when crafting a short showcase at the end of the class.
